SilenceThis silence hangs between us,  as thick and tangible as the memories  we've made,  and I can read you like the stars, Dad  everything so far away, yet  close enough to touch.   
I wish this poem, like my hopes,  could flow smoothly  through the years,  a river of withheld tears  that turn my eyes blue and  crush my ribs against my throat.   
I wanted so much,  wanted so hard to be  your little girl, to be  feminine and soft and sweet,  to make you laugh and  make you proud.

So today was the first day of school.

I KNOW. IT CAME UP FAST.

But all of my classes are okay, except for Algebra 2. I can't handle another year of Zear. He is definitely NOT the definition of 'in-charge', 'disciplinary', or 'able to handle high school students'.

And I miss a lot of my friends, but that just means I need to get off my butt and see them more outside of school.

Not going to write any more, because I'm tired and feeling a little gloomy. It happens. See most of you tomorrow! <3
